To be a Church that is…Becoming a community that lives and loves in Jesus Christ.
What to expect on a Sunday morning…
Who We Are
We are a Bible believing non-denominational church. We meet every Sunday morning from 10:00-11:30 in Boise on the Central Bench. We value relational community within our body and extend love to the community around us.
Teaching – We study scripture through an expositional method(verse by verse, book by book). To hear a sample of a Sunday morning teaching click here.
Worship – We participate as a congregation in a respectful blend of modern worship (Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, Passion)and traditional hymns.
Sunday School – We believe it is very important that all ages participate in worship. After the worship we provide Sunday School for nursery, preschool and grade school ages during the teaching. Youth Group (ages 7th-12th grade) have Sunday School twice a month.
Our Mission & Purpose
We exist to glorify God by accomplishing the work that He has given us to do in Boise. We have been sent to make disciples, to baptize them, and to teach them all that Jesus has commanded, equipping them for ministry.
Our vision is to be a healthy, growing, multiplying, relational community made up of smaller units known as Home Groups.
HEALTHY: A healthy community is devoted to learning, knowing and applying the Word of God, to building-up and caring for other believers, to remembering and proclaiming the sacrifice of Jesus, and to prayer. The focus of a healthy community is Jesus.
GROWING: A growing community intentionally connects with, cares for and shares the “Good News” with those outside the community who don’t know Jesus.
MULTIPLYING: A multiplying community reproduces itself at all levels. Disciples produce more disciples, leaders produce more leaders, groups produce more groups, congregations produce more congregations.
HOME GROUPS: A home group is the basic building block of Cornerstone. A home group consists of 4-15 people who meet weekly to worship, to build each other up, and to reach out to others who don’t know Jesus, with the goal of group multiplication.
All home groups meet on Sunday mornings for united community celebration and worship.
